NEW ARCHIVES TECHNICIAN AT RED DEER
Michael Dawe, Red Deer and District Archives
Born and raised in Calgary, Ken Dahl, in an effort to buck recent migration patterns, spent the better part of fifteen years living and studying in Saskatchewan. After attending grades 11 and 12 in Saskatchewan, he decided to stay in the province and attend the university. At the University of Saskatchewan, Ken completed both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in history.
After graduating, Ken accepted a three-month contract as reference archivist at the Saskatchewan Archives Board (SAB), Saskatoon office. This "temporary position" ended up lasting over three years. While the time spent in Saskatoon was enjoyable and the work experience invaluable, a change was in the cards and Ken began working at the Red Deer and District Archives on April 22nd, 2003, in a newly created staff position.
Please welcome Ken Dahl to the Alberta archives community!
Editor's note: Ken Dahl is a graduate of the first ASA Archives Institute, held at the University of Alberta in May, 2000.
