Editor's Greeting
The Spring always seems to be an extremely busy time of year. With this Newsletter, two issues have unavoidably merged into one, due to my workload, an inherited backlog and the timing of a number of important decisions that the ASA Board was faced with and wanted the membership to know about.
I know everyone in our noble field seems to be plowing through loads of work, with customary grant deadlines, year-end obligations and additionally, host of opportunities that we either embrace or have thrust upon us. For that reason, I am especially grateful to all who have contributed to this issue. I also appreciate Margery Hadley's efforts in soliciting articles and grooming the submissions.
In future issues, I feel it would be valuable to have more contributions from individuals and ASA committees. Speaking of committees, I would welcome an annual Newsletter planning meeting; are there any takers? How about some guest editorials and comment on burning professional issues? Letters to the Editor would be welcome. The Newsletter is a vehicle that continues to help bind our community together. I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes.
