A play entitled "The End of the Rope" will be part of the Pumphouse Theatre One-Act Play Festival. Funded by a grant from Young Canada Works and written using archival documents from the Legal Archives Society of Alberta, the play dramatically recreates the repercussions from a passionate act of murder in Stettler, Alberta in 1959, an act which ultimately culminated in Alberta's last execution by hanging. The playwright, Aaron Coates, will also be acting in this production. You can see the play on Wednesday, February 7th at the Pumphouse theatre. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased by calling (403) 263-0079.
