NEWSLETTER September 1997 Volume 17 Number 2 ASA WELCOMES NEW STAFFChange is always unsettling, but new perspectives and enthusiasm can also be invigorating. In February 1997 our Archives Advisor, Elizabeth Denham, announced her decision to resign, to devote more time to her growing career as a health care archives consultant and administrator. Then in March, after only a few months on the job, Administrative Coordinator Terry Delorme learned that she would be relocating to Ottawa with her family. The ASA Executive conducted an extensive search for a new Archives Advisor and was fortunate to attract Michael Gourlie, an archivist with experience in B.C. Kate Gunn, an experienced supporter of heritage organizations, was hired from the previous short list for the Administrative Coordinator position. Michael and Kate both began their contract positions in late July. We asked Michael and Kate to introduce themselves to Alberta's archival community. Please visit
their introductions: We'd love to hear from you. You can e-mail your comments to the editor, Jim
Bowman, at jbowman@cadvision.com
