DISPLAYS AVAILABLE

The Archives Society of Alberta has two displays which can be used by archival institutions as part of their individual public awareness programs. They would be ideal for use at meetings of municipal, hospital, school, and business leaders, or meetings of related professional groups such as librarians, museum people, historians, and records managers. They are also useful in attracting the interest of the general public to archives and archivists.

The displays are free-standing, about two metres high, and occupy about three square metres of floor space. They fold up into portable cases that can be transported easily.

Our newest display, "Archives, Managing Your Documentary Heritage", was developed by Interpret Designs Ltd. of Edmonton. It deals with the value and importance of preserving archival records, defines archives as material and place and archival works, and highlights the professional qualifications needed for the archival enterprise.

Our older display, "Alberta's Archival Community", also developed by Interpret Designs, deals with the programs and activities of the Society.

Please contact Karen Buckley at 403-220-2559 if you would be interested in booking either or both of these displays.
