October 17-20 in Banff, the Alberta Museums Association annual conference will be organized around the theme "Taking Control of Our Future: Entrepreneurial Museums". To register contact the AMA office in Edmonton at 424-2626. October 17-18 in Grand Junction, Colorado, the Society of Rocky Mountain Archivists and the Conference of Inter-Mountain Archivists will hold a joint meeting. These two groups represent archivists, records managers, historians, museum personnel, and genealogists from Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Arizona.
