NEWSLETTER September 1996 Volume 16 Number 2 ASA EDUCATION PROGRAM APPRECIATEDTo the Editor: I would like to express my appreciation to the ASA and all those who have contributed to the Education Program for the thoroughness of the material covered in the courses; the willingness to help, offer advice, and locate supplies; and the encouragement to those who are not as knowledgeable and experienced. It is with pride that we say we belong to the ASA and with confidence that we can now approach our board with reliable information to implement the archival standards required to improve our Institute. The development of the position of Archives Advisor was, I think, a very sound decision. We have just begun to use this service and find Elizabeth's expertise unequalled. To have an individual we can approach with problems great and small eliminates a lot of wasted time trying to find where to find answers and who to contact. So thank-you to all of you for the continuing help we at LHI receive to help us achieve the professional standards which we hope will make us a benefit to our church community. Looking forward to the remaining two years of the Education Program. Karen Baron |
