VII.  Brewster Transportation and Tours Company Ltd.

Brewster Transportation and Tours Company Ltd. series. -- [ca.1935]-1996. -- ca.70 cm of textual records. -- ca.525 photographs (ca.385 prints, 60 proof sheets of 12 images each, ca.80 negatives). -- 11 sound recordings : audio cassettes. -- 10 motion pictures : video cassettes. -- Material was in the possession of Ed Newport, an employee of Brewster Transport Co., later Brewster Transportation and Tours, from 1970 to 1997, who served in later years as Banff area manager. Newport assembled historical company records as part of his work and for general interest. -- Series consists of corporate records and collected material, including the following: Personnel records re driver performance, seniority, training and agreements, 1968-1992, restricted access. Tours, facilities and service records, especially tariffs, Columbia Icefields, snow vehicle and chalet history, 1930s-1996. Advertising print literature, video recordings re advertising and sound recordings of Japanese language tours, 1950s-1990s. Ed Newport employment records and photographs, 1970s. Other, 1930s-1971, includes collected records re vehicles, 1956-1961, driver records, 1951-1971, photographs, 1930s-1940s. -- Also known as Ed Newport series. -- Title based on accession record. -- Series is not processed; some access restrictions. -- Constitutes Series VII of the Brewster Transport Company Ltd. fonds.
