Dorothy Allen Gray was an award winning author, culinary expert and food connoisseur who was interested in Canadian food, particularly from the Arctic regions of Canada. Among her many accomplishments she published a work titled Looking down, up north with speciality foods from Spence Bay, the Northwest Territories, Canada.
She prepared memorable meals featuring Arctic delicacies in New York and in Calgary for the Arctic Institute of North America.
