Christmas 1908 dinner menu from the Edmonton Hotel. The extensive menu suggests that food played a significant part in Edmonton's early Christmas celebrations. The gourmet menu included Puree of Cream Oyster Soup, Venison en Casserole Polonaise, Steamed Fowl and Celery Sauce, and, of course, Stuffed Turkey.

The banquet photo, although not taken at the Edmonton Hotel, shows what formal dining in the early 1900s may have looked like. Restaurant guests dressed in their finest would have dined, drank, and socialized in the merry atmosphere of the Edmonton Hotel restaurant.
