Extreme Inventiveness
The sinking of the Titanic in 1912 was enough to make any traveller nervous. John Edlund of
Claresholm, Alberta, however, was not going to let the matter of a mere iceberg or two keep him
from travelling by sea. An inventive person by nature, in 1915 he created and patented the
perfect waterproof suitcase, which could double as a life preserver if worse came to worse on the
high seas. |
