Letter written by Verna Benson

April 22, 1912 "I am going to try my luck at raising chickens this summer. We bought a 200 eggs incubator, but when I come to put the eggs in I could only get 165 eggs in it. Than I have three hens setting. I never used an incubator before so don't know what luck I will have with it. Eggs are 50 a doz. all winter and are 25 a doz. now. Beatrice is very anxious for the little chickens to get out. She puts in most of her time now playing out doors and with that baby brother."
