Olympians who served in defense of Canada in World War One:

The Winnipeg Falcons, won Canada's first gold medal in ice hockey at the VII Olympic Games in Antwerp, Belgium in 1920. Several members of the Falcons served with 223th Battalion in World War One, including William Fridfinnson, Jacob "Wally" Byron, Robert Benson, Konrad Johannesson and Frank Fredrickson.
